FSI programs bring disparate communities together to solve big problems. Using the mantra “educate, empower, and unite”, we teach people how to improve their ideas and organizations, empower them with the necessary tools, and unite communities to help make scalable change possible.
Through our Community Business Support, we work with Hong Kong entrepreneurs, particularly disadvantaged ethnic minorities, to build successful businesses. We have helped 78+ early-stage entrepreneurs scale their businesses and impact by building their capacity as entrepreneurs and community leaders.
Our goal is to help the disadvantaged populations of Hong Kong to lift themselves out of multigenerational poverty, which we believe can be best achieved through entrepreneurship.
Through Community Connections, we connect professionals from the private sector who want to use their skills and experience in a socially impactful way with social impact organizations who need their assistance.
By cultivating purpose-driven individuals and helping them plan out their social impact journeys, we effectively channel their skills and expertise towards supporting social impact organizations tackling society’s biggest challenges. In the meantime, we enable companies to acquire, develop, and engage talents by creating positive social impact.
Since 2012, we have developed and delivered a one-of-a-kind impact-based experiential learning curriculum that teaches Hong Kong youth how to put the shared impact philosophy into practice.
This revolutionary education model not only helps ease school-to-work transition for youth by equipping them with human and transferable skills, but it also gives them the opportunity to become responsible global citizens by doing socially impactful work for the community and beyond. Under the guidance of experienced educators, successful entrepreneurs, professional mentors, and the FSI team, these youth are given the opportunity to creatively problem-solve and learn from their failures in a safe environment.
At FSI, we understand that in order to drive systems change, we must first build effective and responsible leaders. This is why we engage award-winning educators and adopt a hybrid mode of learning to help the leaders of today and tomorrow unleash their potential, so that they can apply responsible and compassionate leadership principles to lead their organizations to success.
As of 30 January 2022, there are 9,621 registered charities (and 16,291 including subsidiaries and sub-subsidiaries) in Hong Kong alone. However, the entire social impact sector remains quite closed off and disparate – with very limited information available about who is doing what, what impact is being created, which organizations can collaborate for a bigger impact, etc.
Through our programs, we work with students and change-makers who are committed to creating a more just and inclusive world. See how we’re working with them to create scalable impact.
