Connecting the private and social impact sectors to accelerate systems change

Through Community Connections, we connect professionals from the private sector who want to use their skills and experience in a socially impactful way with social impact organizations who need their assistance.

The work we do at Community Connections is a virtuous cycle of building a more sustainable and resilient community for all. We equip professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to become effective leaders, and we help them discover their purpose by guiding them through their social impact journey. We help our community partners build capacity by matching them with skilled volunteers who have the skills and expertise to address their organizational needs.

By cultivating purpose-driven individuals and helping them plan out their social impact journeys, we effectively channel their skills and expertise towards supporting social impact organizations tackling society’s biggest challenges. In the meantime, we provide our corporate partners with programs that are aligned with their CSR (corporate social responsibility), ESG, and/or talent retention and development strategies, enabling them to acquire, develop, and engage talents by creating positive social impact.

Skills-based Volunteering

Designing mutually beneficial volunteering for a more resilient community

We build individual and organizational capacity in the private and social impact sectors through mutually beneficial, high-impact volunteering. This includes short- to long-term engagements such as hands-on event management, legal advisory, and curation of useful resources for under-resourced entrepreneurs and social impact leaders.

Helping social impact leaders navigate everyday challenges

Our Social Impact Knowledge Hub is a rich library of resources curated by FSI and our partners and volunteers to equip social impact leaders with knowledge on anything from board governance to fundraising, impact measurement, legal and compliance, organizational growth and more. Leadership Training

Cultivating effective leaders to tackle intractable issues and foster human flourishing

Our leadership training programs equip individuals with effective leadership skills and fundamental board governance knowledge. For individuals interested in socially impactful leadership roles, we also guide them on starting their social impact journeys.

Mentorship for Youth and/or Entrepreneurs

Empower under-resourced youth and/or entrepreneurs with your skills and expertise
